RisingHy and Tortilla Lady
Same family, easier to recognize.
Flagstaff Sauce & Tortilla Co.
Here's how it all ended up under one name.

The hot sauce kit that started it all
Our story starts with a joke gift. While our founder Mike was at NAU, a friend handed him a hot sauce kit, more of a gag than anything serious. It turned into months of trial batches, tastings to whoever happened to be around. Roommates and neighbors became our first taste testers, working through version after version until one recipe finally stuck: a habanero sauce good enough to bottle.

Flagstaff took notice fast
We called it RisingHy, and what started in a kitchen turned into a real lineup fast. Honey Mustard came next, then a Habanero Olive Oil and a Citrus Habanero Salt. Word got around Flagstaff, and people started asking for it by name.

The tortilla side of our story
While RisingHy was finding its footing, another Flagstaff staple was already a few years into its own story, Tortilla Lady . Tortilla Lady was established in 2002 on one simple idea: use the best ingredients you can find. Non-bleached flour, non-GMO canola oil, no aluminum baking powder. From there the lineup grew to flour, wheat, corn, and flavored tortillas, with tamales added along the way. Locals, restaurants, and grocery stores around town became regulars.

One roof, one name
Two Flagstaff staples, two separate names, and one family running both. Keeping RisingHy and Tortilla Lady apart stopped making sense, so we picked a name people will recognize and are connected to:
Flagstaff Sauce & Tortilla Co.
Local since 2002, born on Route 66, still handmade daily.
